Technical details
Masters are part of the Postgraduates (that regroup the Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas, Masters Coursework and Research, PHDs). Masters can last from 1 to 2 years according to the selected field of study and university.
- Start date: either in February - March or July - August each year.
- The careers that the universities in Australia offer to International Students are limited in comparison with the ones offered to Australians.
- Payments are done every semester.
- The careers in the universities in Australia are endless and divided in “Faculties”: you will find the same classification as in most universities in the world, except that in Australia universities are in charge of training all careers : engineers, teachers, doctors, lawyers… .
- Description: the university academic year is divided into 2 semesters of + or - 20 weeks, a total per semester of 4 subjects of 3 hours each; final exams every end of semester; this means that in Australia, you will have to complete 8 different subjects per year and seat 4 final exams per semester. Each subject has a certain number of credits, from 4 to 12 credits maximum: the highest the credits the hardest the subject.
Fees: from AU$7,500 to AU$15,000/semester
pre-requisites:
- Either a recognized Bachelor degree or equivalent with or without work experience, or at least 6 years relevant work experience.
- Level of English equivalent or superior to IELTS 6.5 overall Academic Training (minimum IELTS 6.0 à l'écrit) ou TOEFL 580 paper based ou 237 computer based (essay rating 4.5) or TOEFL IBT 90-91; Certain faculties require IELTS 7.0 overall (IELTS 7.0 in writing).
